Snake Trails

  Jan 2008

Wed. 9th
We played at the House of Blues (in the restaurant) in the Mandalay Bay Casino and it was great. The place was packed and we were smokin' - looks like we may be back there sometime soon, probably in february sometime - check the schedule for upcoming HOB gigs...

Fri. 11th
We had quite the night at the Dollar - you never know who's going to show up at the Dollar to sit in with us. Friday was no exception - double grammy award winning Jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater came in at the end of the second set and sat in with us during the third (professional) set and tore the house down!! An incredible time was had by all...

Sat. 12th

Well guess who showed up again to party - Dee Dee had such a great time with us at the Dollar that she was back for the entire night at Tuts! Our first set was one of the best we have ever played...the band was killin' - Dee Dee sang in both the second and third sets and you should have heard the duet she did with Art - all I can say is it left him speechless...imagine, the reverend speechless!!

Dee Dee is now part of the Snake Family and you never know when she's going to show up and tear the house down - click here to check out her web site...

Fri. 18th

The Sand Dollar was packed from the first set on...the band sounded great and the crowd was rockin'. We were pleasantly surprised when our brother Damon (former guitar player for James Brown) showed up and sat in with us in the third set. Once again a great time was had by all and as we always say, you don't want to miss any of our gigs because you never know who will show up to play...

Sat. 19th

We started an hour early tonight playing to a packed house of screamin party animals - and to our pleasant surprise, Dee Dee Bridgewater came in and helped us to rock the house for the last set. Rumor has it that there may be some filming at the Dollar and/or Tuts next weekend - you don't want to miss this!!

Fri. 25th

Wow!! This was a night to remember...the Dollar was packed all night long and it was perfect for our film shoot. Dee Dee Bridgewater was in rare form and the band was kicking ass!! The shoot went great and we can't wait to see the final cut when it's done. A special thanks goes out to Jody and Frank who busted their collective ass to get us an incredible sound for the night. They brought in a PA system that just rocked the house.

We'd also like to thank Pat (Hammond B3), Tony (Guitar), Damon (Guitar), and of course the Skinny Guinea (vocals) for adding to our musical feast - Star Sightings: A certain local restauranteer who also was a regular on The Sopranos had a front row seat for the festivities...Don't miss a single night at the Dollar - you never know who will be there!

Well, this was a great day at Tuts - we played Greg & Rhonda's wedding in the afternoon from 3 to 7...all of their friends were there and although we all missed the reverend, it was a fantastic party. The Las Vegas Blues Society sponsored a benefit for our brother Art starting at 5 PM featuring Chris Tofield as well as many of our local blues musicians. By 6 PM the place was packed and a large amount of money was donated by everyone - we want to send a special thank you to Kevin (King Tut) for having this event at his club. Most everyone stayed for our show starting at 10 PM and the band kicked ass...Please come to the Sand Dollar next Friday night and Saturday, they will be sponsoring a benefit for Art starting at 12 PM - lots of music all day long!!
